Please also download and print a copy of the BSR Student Medical & Provider Statement Form to be filled out by the student’s medical provider. About Riding with the BSR Program
The purpose of BSR is to develop and administer a riding program for children and youth with disabilities in order to enhance their quality of life and provide comprehensive recreation. As a child and horse bond and become a team, the child develops a variety of social and physical skills, including:

During each session, each student is paired up with one of our BSR horses and three volunteers (two side walkers and one horse leader). An instructor leads each student through various lessons and exercises during the 45 minute session. With instructor and volunteer support, students learn how to communicate and direct their horses through voice, sound, body language, and touch.
